College Basketball News: Will the Kentucky Wildcats finish the season unbeaten?

College Basketball is a huge thing and even though the battle for the title is fierce, many teams having the chance of finishing on top there is one team that is currently the leader of a shaky ranking. That team is the Kentucky Wildcats.

Besides the obvious goal of winning the title the Wildcats have a secondary goal: to finish the season undefeated. They have managed this feat so far however their last game, against the Ole Miss Rebels sent some cold shivers down the spines of Kentucky fans. The team had a very strong start, leading the Ole Miss Rebel 10-0 at a point, however by halftime the Rebel were leading the game 38-36. All things worked out in the end for the Wildcats, winning the game 89-86 in overtime.

Sport analysts blame what happened in this game on complacency, a thing the Wildcats haven’t showed this season yet. Based on their last game it wouldn’t seem likely for the Kentucky Wildcats to accomplish the task they have set for themselves.

One of their impediments, according to coach John Calipari, is that every other team sees the Wildcats as their own personal Goliath and sets out to throw everything they have against them. The Wildcats coach also says they need to be on their toes so that slips like the one against the Rebels don’t happen again. He hopes to use this game as an example for the team to motivate them to give 100% and more every game.
