How an American Soccer Introduced

The American soccer is a very renowned and reputed game all over the world. The game attracts the attention of many people across the globe. For any tournament of American soccer, people across the world wait with keenness to watch the match. Though the rules of the game are same in all the countries, yet in USA, the high school soccer, the college soccer, and the professional soccer are played in different rules. It is crucial to note that that the high school soccer is governed by the National Federation of State High School Associations. 

On the other hand, the college soccer is played under the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The rest of the soccer games is played under NFL. The American soccer has originated from various soccer games played in the United Kingdom. These games were played in the mid-19th century. Following this, the colleges and universities started adapting the game in US.

There were several divergences in the rugby football in UK, and this in turn led to the origin of American soccer. Few rules of the game were changed and the main contributor of the change in the rules of the game was Walter Camp. He is also often referred to as the “Father of American Football”. The college soccer was started by a group of students at Princeton. The Intercollegiate Soccer Association demised and the American Professional Soccer Association was formed. Many changes were made in the levels and the rules of the game.
